Grandmaster Theodore Jackson, 7th Dan. Started his martial art career in 1967, in Brooklyn, New York's Tang Dojo Shotokan under Tom LePuppet and George Coffield. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1972, during the end of the Vietnam War, and was later stationed in England, where he began training in Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan. He earned his first Dan in 1977, and opened his first school while stationed with the Air Force in Germany. When he later returned to the U.S., he opened a school in Tampa, FL. He won a number of US and European championships in fighting, forms and weapons. After competing for a number of years, he began to focus more time on teaching. He returned to England for a second tour, and opened a school at Royal Air Force Bentwaters. When his Master instructor retired, Master Jackson took over the school. He was then an E Dan.
In 1983, Master Jackson left the Tang Soo Do Moo Kuk Kwan Federation and joined the World Tang Soo Do Association. He returned to the U.S. in 1987 and was stationed at Vandenberg AFB in California, where he came under the direction of Master Frank Waller, Jr. In 1998, Master Jackson received his Master's belt from Grand Master Shin. Grandmaster Jackson was a member of the Universal Tang Soo Do Alliance and was promoted to 7th Dan in 2018 by Grandmaster Khalid,Grandmaster Jackson was the founder of First Central Coast Tang Soo Do which was the 1st to offer classes through the City of Lompoc's Parks and Recreation Department in Lompoc.
